Anitta Reacts After Leaked ‘Tá Na Mira’ Video Surfaces Online

When an unreleased music video suddenly appeared online more than a decade after it was filmed, it did not feel like a nostalgic moment for Anitta. Instead, it quickly turned into a tense situation involving accusations, frustration, and a reminder of how much control artists try to maintain over their own image.

The video in question is a shelved clip for “Tá Na Mira”, a track from the very beginning of Anitta’s career, recorded around 2013 when she was still establishing herself in the Brazilian music industry. The footage, which had never been officially released, surfaced unexpectedly on the internet in March 2026, catching both fans and the artist herself off guard.

What followed was immediate. As the video began circulating across social media and fan pages, Anitta took to her own platforms to make one thing clear: she had nothing to do with it.

“Queridos, eu não lancei nenhum clipe hoje”, she wrote, directly addressing the confusion, which translates to “Guys, I didn’t release any music video today.” Then she went further, explaining that anything being shared had not been authorized by her and pointing fingers at people who were once part of her professional circle. She stated that the material had been leaked “por pessoas que já não fazem parte da minha equipe há tempos”, meaning “by people who haven’t been part of my team for a long time,” making it clear that this was not just an accident but something she believed came from former collaborators.

A video that was never meant to exist publicly

To understand why the situation escalated so quickly, it is important to go back to the origins of the video itself. The “Tá Na Mira” clip was filmed during the earliest phase of Anitta’s career, when she was still shaping her artistic identity and experimenting with different visual directions. At that time, the song was connected to her debut era, and there were initial plans for a full audiovisual rollout.

But those plans changed.

For reasons that were never fully explained at the time, the video was ultimately scrapped and left unreleased. The official version of “Tá Na Mira” that the public knows ended up being supported only by a lyric video, which still went on to accumulate millions of views over the years.

Behind the scenes, however, the decision to shelve the clip seems to have been very intentional. Over the years, Anitta has not hidden her feelings about that specific project. In interviews and podcast appearances, she has openly said that she did not like the result at all. In one particularly blunt moment, she described the video as something she “hated” and made it clear that she never wanted it to see the light of day.

What might look like a fun throwback for fans becomes something entirely different when the artist herself considers it a mistake.

What the leaked video shows

The leaked footage quickly spread online, and people began analyzing it almost immediately. The clip presents a storyline that feels very much tied to early 2010s pop and funk aesthetics, far from the polished and globally oriented image Anitta would later develop.

In the video, she appears in a dim, almost interrogative setting, sitting on a chair with her hands restrained, while a man faces her. The scene then shifts into a more sensual dynamic, with dancing and flirtation, before suggesting a narrative twist involving betrayal and power reversal.

For longtime fans, the visuals offered a rare glimpse into a phase of her career that is not widely documented. Her look, styling, and overall artistic direction reflect a version of Anitta that existed before her international expansion, before her reinventions, and before the level of control she is known for today.

But for the artist herself, this was not a piece of history she wanted revisited.

Fan reactions and mixed reception

As expected, the internet had a lot to say.

Some fans were excited, simply because it is rare to see unreleased material from an artist with such a carefully curated career. For them, the video felt like discovering a hidden chapter, something almost mythical that had been talked about for years but never seen.

Others, however, understood immediately why it had been shelved. Comments started to appear suggesting that the clip did not match the level of quality people associate with Anitta today. Some viewers even compared the visuals to older pop culture references, while others were more direct, calling it underwhelming.

There were also those who defended her original decision, pointing out that every artist evolves and that not every project deserves to be released, especially when it no longer represents who they are.

The accusation against former team members

The most serious part of the situation remains Anitta’s accusation.

By stating that the leak came from people who are no longer part of her team, she introduced a layer of conflict that goes beyond fan reactions or nostalgia. It suggests that the footage was not just sitting forgotten in an archive, but that someone with access decided to release it without permission.

That raises obvious questions. Who still had the material after all these years. Why release it now. And whether this was done out of opportunism, resentment, or simply a lack of respect for boundaries.

There is also an industry angle to consider. Early in her career, Anitta worked with different teams and structures, including record label arrangements that may have influenced decisions about her content. Over time, she became known for taking control of her own career in a way that is rare, especially in Latin pop. Situations like this highlight why that shift matters.
